Annual Conference of ASF

December 23, 2009, Tokyo --- The Annual Conference of the Association for the Study of Failure was held Saturday, December 12. Nalux has been a corporate member since its establishment in 2002. Their Osaka Group visited our headquarter and Yamazaki plant in March last year.

        This conference has been held during the week in the past years, but this year it was held on a Saturday and it made a perfect setting for me to visit them in the University of Tokyo, Hongo campus, brightly colored by the gingko tree leaves. The three leader of the association, (Prof. Yotaro Hatamura, Prof. Masayuki Nakao, and Dr. Kenji Iino) always give talks full of lessons for us that are working in the manufacturing industry. The conference this year hosted a number of displayed to entertain us during the lunch break.

        We would like to continue following activities of this association who has been seriously looking into ways of how to turn around past failures into positive experiences. - (i)
